All these rumours i hear about the ps3 that i have seen I hope eventually fizzles away. Information that i have seen directly from SONY however have all been good news. Im not bothered one bit by the crap i hear said about the ps3, because i hope everything is going fine.
And even if the ps3 didn't live up to expectations specs wise, i'll buy a ps3 because i want games and I'm excited about th...

I would buy it regardless of what bad news is out about it. lol... There is just something about a half a grand or more that makes me think before I buy. I'm compulsive if its a few hundred. But thats just me. Not everyone is compulsive like that. Some their sweet spot is 200 and so on. My sweet spot for compulsive buying is 300 400 pushing it. But me, I loved the xbox. So it was a no brainer to get the 360.
If sony changed the price before launch...that would definately rock the industry. lol....and thats being real.

See, MS launch is over. It was the most successful launch in History. Its done. 50 games on the market with Good, Great, and Outstanding reviews. Its done. 5 million the fastest. Its done. 4.5 games sold per console. its done. 3 games by may that sold a million plus. Its done. Now sony on the other hand. Is stumbling before the launch even happens. They have a lot of pressure on them and sony fans are feeling it. Will the reviews be good? Will there be enough games at launch? ...
MS has to deny it. lol.... I was just reporting what the news paper reported. MS will announce a price drop when they are good and ready. Every company denies things untill they are ready to announce it. Sony kept denying the fact that the ps3 wasn't coming out in spring. I am nuetral but the facts aren't. Thats not my fault. If there was an article saying that the ps3 had 97% yields for its cell. you would here me say "GOOD NEWS". if there was an article about how they played a Moto storm and its mind blowing...you would hear me say..."wow, i'm going to have to check that game out". So don't blame the messenger for all the bad news. Blame Sony. They made all the ballzy decisions that may pay off or not.
No sorry to correct you but the 360 didn't have low yields with its processor. That is what we are talking about right? Now as far as shortages the 360 had it was due to it being a complex piece of hardware. many 1000's of parts go into making it. its not easy to mass produce them. And the ps3 even more so. From what I read even more delicate parts than the 360 has. So thats a whole notha topic as far as putting them together in mass quantities. This article and my commnents were dire...

And since you brought it up its now fair game. The 360 never had yields of less than 40 %. Neva eva. If you say it did. Please post a link. You won't find one. MS used 3 cores instead of one. But they are cores that are tested and proven. Not experiements in the making. Thats why the yields are low. It probably is normal for a new untested cpu. But...

You are right, we don't know for sure what normal yields are. But we do know what IBM has stated about the yields for their chip. But 40% is an "F" in school. 40% just don't sound good even with that being a high for them. Thats just not acceptable any way you look at it. Sony can spin it how ever they want but 10 to 20% is just plain disgusting.
